WHAT IS ANGRY TRAINER FITNESS ?
My nickname is ‘The Angry Trainer’ – and man, am I angry!
Throughout my years as a personal trainer I’ve been constantly approached by family, friends, clients, and even complete strangers asking me about the latest fitness trends – and if they actually ‘worked’. They’d point out celebrity workouts, tell me their newest borderline ignorant diet, or ask me about some ridiculous shaking weight on TV.

Over time I evolved into The Angry Trainer and learned to despise the industry I work in. I’m all for free enterprise and being successful, but not at the expense of ripping people off and crushing their hopes of finally becoming fit. I can’t tell you how many people I see in gyms around the country or on TV as trainers who don’t know their ass from their elbow. I’ve watched in gyms as people were ‘trained’ carelessly by so-called professionals with sloppy form or insane routines. So yeah I’m pissed, I’m angry, and I’m going to set you straight. Fitness is not hard, it’s not complicated and it can be fun. Now I have a forum to say how I really feel and what I KNOW to be true in the world of fitness.
Nowadays we spend more money than ever on fitness products, gym memberships and low fat foods – and yet we’re unhealthier than ever. It got me thinking about myself, my own training, my clients and the fitness industry as a whole. And what I realized is the industry is a joke. I have never seen so much misinformation, so many ‘impostors’ and so many misleading ads, certifications, and products. The fitness industry is not an industry at all. It’s a farce.
We’ve all seen celebrities on TV, selling nutrition and diet products when they haven’t exercised a day in their life. No wonder people can’t get fit and stay in shape, they have no clue what to eat, what to buy and who to trust. And unfortunately, the American “want it now” attitude just fuels all of these quick fix fitness schemes. Over the years I’ve lost count of the amount of crap sold on TV. Some of these products are just ridiculous. The claims they make are outright lies; Pills promising fat loss, cleanses, detoxes, liquid diets, super slow workouts, fitness in 5 minutes – it becomes a blur and I literally can’t see straight with anger. Fitness has run wild and it’s time to tame the beast.
I have no agenda other than to make sense of this mess. I’ve got almost 20 years of experience behind me and I’m sharing everything I know and everything I learned. I’ve had my share of successes and failures. More of the latter in fact. I don’t care what textbooks tell you or what you saw on TV. I know what works, period. Most people want the same thing, suffer from the same issues and challenges and share the same misinformation. My goal is to tell the truth, dispel myths and give you accurate real world information that’s tried and trued. But mostly I am going to make you understand and view fitness in a whole new way. I won’t just tell you what to do, but WHY. And that’s key.
The industry has done a great job of making a healthy, fitness driven life look very complicated to obtain. I’m here to tell you it’s not. Sure it’s work, but nothing that isn’t manageable. But there are no short cuts. My father told me something when I was small that stuck with me – “You can accomplish anything you want in life with two things; a plan and the right tools”. Angry Trainer Fitness will give you both.
