Get With The Program: The 12 Minute Shredder Workout
Oct 1st
Happy 1st October everyone!
It’s been a while since I last posted a workout here at Angry Trainer Fitness, and in light of our October Diet Challenge (are you all on board with me?) I thought I’d give you an awesome workout to kick off the month with!
You may have heard of Tabata training, which is 4 minutes of pure torture. It’s named after Dr. Tabata, a Japanese doctor whose research suggested that 20 second intervals of near maximum effort, followed by a 10 second rest, and repeated for 4 minutes, led to significant increases in cardiovascular conditioning and fat burning. Get With The Program: The One Armed Bandit Workout
Sep 14th
This installment of Get With The Program is truly personal as I just finished this exact workout earlier today!
As you probably know, I’m recovering from biceps surgery at the moment and after 6 weeks of not being able to exercise, I had to do something. So I’m on day 3 of my return to the gym – but of course I can’t use my left arm for any of the exercises!
Now you don’t have to have an injury as serious as mine to avoid upper body exercises. Perhaps you strained your shoulder, or hurt your hand, or maybe you have a More >
Get With The Program: The Pump Up The Volume Workout
Sep 6th
Hello everyone! It’s time for another Get With The Program workout, where I share another program that I’ve developed using my twenty years of experience in the fitness world.
Today’s Pump Up The Volume workout is a spin on German Volume Training made popular my Bill Phillips back in the muscle heydey!
A great way to amp up your workout is by adding more volume, meaning more total sets. In my old bodybuilder days, I used to work up to 10 sets of 10, then 15, and finally 20 reps, with 30 seconds in between – that’s a lot of reps! It really More >
Top 10: Mat / Floor Exercises (Video)
Sep 4th
I’m excited because today marks another first here at Angry Trainer Fitness – it’s our first Top 10 Video!
Typically I write our Top 10 pieces as posts, but since today we’re throwing lots of different exercises at you I thought a video would be in order, so you can properly master each technique.
As the title suggests this is a list of my Top 10 Mat / Floor Exercises. Too often people just use mat work for old favorites like crunches and sit ups, exercises which have their place but aren’t half as effective as people think they are. So my More >
