Product Review: GNC Beyond Raw (Part 2)
Apr 9th
A few weeks ago you may recall that I reviewed GNC’s new line of Beyond Raw products. At the time I focused on Ravage, which is a pre–workout supplement and Re-Built Mass, which is a post workout shake. And truthfully I loved them both! Now it’s time for Part 2 – where I’m taking a look at a few more products in the Raw line…
However before I start, I need to get something off my chest! I’ve posted a few pics of the Beyond Raw containers in my cabinets, tweeted that I was using them, and a few of you More >

Infomercial Insanity: T Core For Men
Feb 16th
Seriously will the ‘get a six-pack quick’ infomercial market ever slow down? I mean come on, do any of you actually buy these products? The fitness product marketplace shouldn’t continue to amaze me, but it does!
Today’s product up for Angry Trainer review is the T Core, and it’s a bit different as it’s supposedly made just for men! Now that’s a first – an ab fitness product that’s gender specific.
Here’s my take…
Product Pitch
The T Core for men is basically a resistance device that allows you to train the abs in a seated upright position. According to the manufacturer, regular old More >

Jan 26th
It’s been quite a while since I’ve reviewed one of the many fitness gurus out there – and their ‘miraculous’ programs. So today it’s time for another Testing The Trainers.
Up this week Turbulence Training – a program I’ve known about for a while now. Turns out that the guy who created Turbulence has some darn good credentials. His name’s Craig Ballantyne and he’s written numerous articles for leading fitness publications and is a C.S.C.S – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
But the real question is – is Turbulence Training any good? Here’s my Angry Trainer take…

Product Review: Livestrong LSPro2 Passport Treadmill
Dec 18th

I say typical because for me running or jogging on a treadmill while looking at a wall is just plain old boring. And I think most people think the best way to get in shape is running – and see it as the ONLY exercise they need to do. But I disagree with that thought process, although I do think running and treadmill use can definitely be incorporated into an exercise program.
But what kind of a More >
Testing The Trainers: Charles Poliquin
Nov 10th
In my early days of bodybuilding I read just about every magazine, book and article and tried every program I could find in my quest to build my body. But few had the impact on my training that the “The Poliquin Principles†had.
Charles Poliquin is widely accepted as a strength and athletic training expert, and has successfully coached professional athletes, Olympians, and helped the average Joe build his biceps. But with the benefit of hindsight do I still believe in his principles? Let’s find out…
