The Next Angry Trainer Ustream Chat: Weights, Weights & More Weights!
It’s that time of the week again and this is a chat I’m really excited about!
By now you probably all know that my fitness beginnings all started with me picking up a dumbbell at age 13. And from there I’ve put my body through its paces with more weight training programs than I can truthfully recall. Along the way I’ve definitely learned a thing or two. The truth is I spend so much time nowadays talking about functional fitness and health, that it’ll be great to share what I know when it comes to straight weight training.
So this week’s Ustream chat will be all about nothing but weights and adding muscle. For instance, should you ever train for a 1–rep max lift? How about high reps versus low reps – which is better to grow muscle tissue and is one way better for strength? Does a stronger muscle necessarily have to grow bigger? How many times per week should you directly train a muscle? What should you eat to grow new muscle? And how much protein do you REALLY need to pack on the beef?
Seriously I could probably talk for hours about all of the different theories and my experiences. So as usual I’ll be taking your questions and answering them LIVE during the chat! So get a pen and paper ready and those questions loaded up. Here’s your chance to pick my Angry Brain!
Once again the conversation starts tomorrow, Tuesday 6th March at 9PM EST on my Ustream channel . Tell your friends, tell your family, heck, shout it out in the gym! The more participants we have, the more we’ll all learn.
See you then!

Well pretty disappointed that you didn’t really go into olympic and powerlifting.
Do those for about 4 months and things like curls and tricep extensions will seem like Mickey Mouse training.
Curls are anyway for bodybuilders who want to define the muscles they already have. People who wanted to have big strong arms should focus on strength. If you are strong, you’ll probably look strong.
